A workshop in the art and science of “forest bathing”
Experience an afternoon in the woods with contemplative and sensory exercises that will refresh your body, mind, and spirit. All fitness levels are welcome. Forest bathing involves only slow walking and easy guided movements.
Your Forest Guides:
Jeanne Malmgren, M.Ed., LPC
Jeanne is a psychotherapist and co-author of Journey to Mindfulness. She has been practicing and teaching meditation since the 1980’s and leads Silent Hikes in the Upstate.
Rocky Nation, M.Ed., Ph.D.
Rocky teaches biology and environmental science at Anderson University, where he is conducting research on the therapeutic value of spending time in nature. An avid outdoorsman, he is on the board of directors for the Foothills Trail Conservancy.
